Hello everyone! Sorry it’s been so long since I last posted. I’ve been going through a job switch, and the past month has been busy with getting things in order at my old company and (trying to) getting up to speed at my new company. I listened to episode 75 of my favorite podcast, The PM Podcast. It was about project monitoring. I have always been interested in project maintenance and finding issues as early as possible. Because it allows you to quickly identify and fix problems, I believe that is why I was so interested in the Critical Chain method. Particularly, I thought the soft skills discussed in the discussion were important. It doesn’t matter how many data you have, if you don’t know how to present them well or what to do about them, they are useless. My main interests are in being able to combine quantitative data from EVM with qualitative data to target specific work packages, resources or stakeholders who are having/causing problems.
You can listen to the podcast. It was amazing. You can also check out the powerpoint presentation that comes with it.
