AWS Elemental Link connects a live source to AWS Elemental MediaLive. It compresses the video and makes it available for live streaming. There are two types available depending on your needs.
Link HD for high definition (HD) video
Link UHD to view ultra-high definition (UHD), video
These devices are cost-effective, reliable, and easy to use for transporting your video into AWS MediaLive. The device is easy to use. All you need to do is connect the power, Ethernet, and video source. Once connected, you can access the AWS management console to control the device from anywhere.

4. How AWS Elemental Link Works
AWS Elemental Link uses a single input video as a source to send a single output video up to 1080p at 60fps AWS MediaLive to process the video. It can also be sent to AWS Media services and AWS CloudFront, for packaging, distribution and origination.

Output: Single video up 1080p at 60FPS or AWS MediaLive
Input: Power source, IP Network, and either a single HDMI or 3G-SDI video source

Output: One video up to 2160p at 60 frames per second to AWS Elemental MediaLive

7. How to Get the Device from AWS Elemental Link
You will need to have an active AWS account in order to Order Now
Login into AWS console
Search for Elemental Appliances and Software on the management console
Open the Elemental Appliances and Software Service Home Page, then open the navigation panel to the left and select AWS Elemental Link
This will take to you to the product page for the AWS Elemental link device. Click “Start Order” to begin your order.
Enter your order contact information. This information will be used to send you an order confirmation and/or contact you if you have any questions about your order. This information can be used to contact you for delivery.
Select the product model you require (HD or UHD) along with the quantity. Select the AWS Region in which you want to connect your device. Once provisioned, it will not be possible to use it in another AWS region. To add your shipping address, you can add a new address in the address book. AWS Elemental cannot calculate taxes, customs clearance or duties for delivery addresses that are not in the United States.
Once the address is verified, click on ‘Next.
